Why you should not go to the UAE for a vacation
UAE is one of the fastest growing countries …
People come here not only to soak up the coast (the state stretches along the Persian Gulf), but also to see first-hand its main attractions: Burj Khalifa, Sheikh Zayed Mosque, as well as visit numerous water parks and amusement parks.
The places are incomparable, but going on a tour, you need to weigh the pros and cons well.
Top reasons to refrain from traveling
The UAE is a country where they profess Islam, which is the basis of legislation. Hence – strict laws and traditions that are imposed on vacationers. Their non-compliance is regarded as disrespect. They may be fined or sent to prison for this.
If you do not want to, try not to drink alcohol, do not smoke, do not gamble, do not eat pork, do not hug and kiss in public while traveling. Crossing the road in the wrong places is also not worth it. True, in Dubai and Abu Dhabi there are some concessions for vacationers: for example, you can buy alcohol in some restaurants, but it costs awkwardly expensive there.

By the way, good restaurants work mainly with expensive hotels. Dishes there, respectively, are also not cheap.
Beaches and the sea
Most tourists travel to the UAE to soak up the beach, but in fact, finding an ennobled area with palm trees and beautiful lagoons is not so simple. You can only rely on amenities, and those are only on the beaches at the hotels that are on the coastline. City beaches will most likely disappoint you. In Dubai, they stretch along the avenue of the metropolis. Moreover, they are practically not suitable for rest: “mushrooms” from the sun are rare, most of them do not have locker rooms. Larkov with water and snacks is not there either.
And the sea, by the way, is not here. Instead, the Persian Gulf. Everything would be fine if in June the water temperature in it did not warm up to +36 ° C. An unpleasant smell is added to the unbearable heat: hot water rots in the sun. It is especially unpleasant to be near the palm islands, where the water stagnates. Interestingly, the wind can bring rot to the coast at any time.

A comfortable water temperature at + 22–24 ° C is from December to March, but do not rush to book a ticket for the New Year holidays. The air temperature at this time also drops, so getting out of the water is uncomfortable. It may rain.
The climate in the UAE is desert. Air can warm up to + 50 ° С. To move around the city in such conditions is possible only by transport. There are few options. In Dubai there is a subway, city buses go. True, in order to use them, to understand where to go, to find where and how to pay for the fare, you need to know Arabic.
Dubai City Buses
If you have enough money for the trip, you can take a taxi. But get ready to pay for its duration, landing. By the way, the distances between the sights are rather big (the length of the city is 70 km). When traveling from Dubai to Sharjah, as well as from state to state, the border crossing fee is also automatically charged (you cannot see it, you just need to know that it is there).
More options for transportation: a guide with a minibus (the service is not cheap, during the excursions the guide often carries to the most expensive places, since it has its own rollback), car rental. True, in the latter case, the rules must be observed, since there are huge fines on the road. For example, talking on a mobile while driving will have to pay $ 217.
And there are crazy traffic jams. Downtown Dubai at rush hour is another attraction for tourists.
Speaking of entertainment.
There are not so many entertainments (not counting the amusement parks) and they are also insanely expensive. For example, if you pay more than $ 50 at the entrance to the water park, be prepared to pay separately for services in the territory: renting a box for your belongings, etc.

Those who wish can fly by helicopter, ride a boat or a boat on the bay, but the cost of such entertainment is also cosmic. Even just a walk around the city will not work: firstly, in the tourist season it is very hot here, and secondly – there is no concept of “walk”. This is not accepted by locals – they drive by transport. There are almost no Europeans.
Sheikh’s palace in Dubai is also not to be seen – they are not allowed to go closer than 200 meters to it.
Even buying souvenirs can result in huge expenses: in most stores there are no price tags for goods, since the cost is different for both their own and for vacationers. And this is despite the fact that the cost of tours in the UAE is also cosmic.
It is also necessary to take snapshots as a souvenir. You can’t take pictures of Muslims who pray and women in national costumes, however, as well as ask them questions or touch them.
And single girls under 30 may not even enter the territory of the UAE. The decision at the border is made individually.
